Refund and cancellation policy
Short version: you can cancel at any time and keep what you paid for, you can have a payment back within 7 days by asking, and nothing of yours or your students' is ever deleted because a plan ends. Last updated 13 October 2026.
Who this is for
Almost nobody. Everything a learner does on Typekaro is free: lessons, practice, the typing test, the games, progress, streaks, badges, and joining a class. A learner never pays, so there is nothing to refund.
This page is for the owner of an organisation, such as a school or a coaching centre, who has paid for the Institute plan. That is the only thing Typekaro sells. What it includes and what it costs are on the pricing page. A student or a teacher of an organisation is never charged.
Who takes the payment
Payments are taken by Dodo Payments, on its own page. Dodo Payments is the seller of record: it charges your card or account, adds the tax for your country, and sends the receipt and the invoices. Typekaro never sees your card.
So a refund is paid back by Dodo Payments, to the card or account you paid with. You ask us, and we tell Dodo Payments to pay it.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. There is no notice period, no call and no form to fill in.
- Open your organisation, then Billing, then Manage billing. That opens Dodo Payments’ page, where you cancel.
- Cancelling stops the next payment. You are not charged again.
- You keep the Institute limits until the end of the month or the year you already paid for. Billing shows the date.
- After that date the organisation is on the Free plan. You can pay again whenever you like.
Only the person who paid can open that page, because it shows their name, address and invoices. If you took an organisation over from somebody else, the subscription is still theirs to cancel.
Refunds
You can have any payment back, in full, if you ask within 7 days of that payment. That covers a first payment and a renewal, by the month or by the year. You do not have to give a reason, though it helps us to know.
- The whole payment comes back, including the tax that was added to it.
- It is paid to the card or account you paid with, never to a different one.
- How long it takes to reach you depends on your bank or card. Dodo Payments starts it when we ask.
- If you paid in a currency other than your card’s own, your bank’s exchange rate on the day may make the amount you get back slightly different from the amount you paid. That difference is your bank’s, and neither we nor Dodo Payments keep it.
After 7 days a payment is not refunded for the time that is left. You can still cancel, and you keep the plan until the period you paid for ends.
If you were charged twice for the same organisation, or charged after you had cancelled, tell us at any time. That is our mistake to put right, and the 7 days do not apply to it.
How to ask for a refund
Write to contact@websyro.com with the subject Typekaro Refund, and tell us:
- Organisation name
- Email address used at checkout
- Date of the payment
- Amount and currency charged
- Payment or invoice number (on the receipt Dodo Payments emailed you)
- Plan (monthly or yearly)
- Reason for the refund (optional)
Here is that email, written out. Copy it into your own email, fill in each line and send it. Nothing is sent from this page.

Hello, Please refund this payment for Typekaro. Organisation name: Email address used at checkout: Date of the payment: Amount and currency charged: Payment or invoice number (on the receipt Dodo Payments emailed you): Plan (monthly or yearly): Reason for the refund (optional): Thank you. (Please do not include your card number or any password.)
The payment or invoice number is the quickest way for us to find a payment, and it is on the receipt Dodo Payments emailed you. If you cannot find it, the other lines are enough. Write from the email address you paid with if you can, so that we know the request is yours.
Do not send your card number or any password. We never need either, and we cannot see your card. We reply to say the refund has been started, and Dodo Payments emails you when it has been paid.
What happens to your organisation
Nothing is deleted, whether you cancel, a payment is refunded, or a payment fails.
- Every batch, teacher and student stays exactly as it is.
- Students carry on practising, and their own progress is theirs and is not touched.
- You and your teachers still see your students and their progress.
- When a payment is refunded, the Institute limits end at once, because that period is no longer paid for. When you cancel without a refund, they end on the date you paid up to.
- On the Free plan an organisation that is larger than the Free limits keeps everything it has. It cannot add another batch, teacher or student until it is back within those limits, or paying again.
If a payment fails
If a first payment does not go through, nothing is charged and the organisation stays as it was. You can try again from Billing, with the same card or another one.
If a renewal does not go through, Dodo Payments tries again over the following days and you keep the Institute limits while it does. If it still cannot be taken, the subscription is put on hold and the Free limits apply. Changing the card under Manage billing starts it again.
Deleting an organisation
Deleting an organisation cancels its subscription first, so that you are not charged for something that is gone. If the subscription cannot be cancelled at that moment, the organisation is not deleted, and you can try again. Deleting does not refund a payment by itself: ask, as above, if you are within the 7 days.
Before you dispute a charge with your bank
Please ask us first. A refund through us is quicker for you than a dispute through a bank, and it costs nobody anything. If a dispute is decided in your favour, the subscription ends and the Free limits apply, as with a refund.
Changes to this page
If this policy changes, this page changes and the date at the top with it. A payment you have already made is treated by the policy that was here on the day you paid, or by the newer one if that is better for you.
Nothing on this page takes away anything the law where you live gives you. The rest of what we promise is in the terms, and what is and is not shared when you pay is on the privacy page.
